On behalf of the Executive Board and Regional Directors, I would like to welcome you to the ACOEP
Resident Chapter Website. I am excited to be serving as your ACOEP Resident Chapter President! The resident chapter continues to be a strong force within the
college. The chapter is here to support each and every osteopathic physician currently enrolled in Emergency Medicine residency training. The officers and
regional board members are your liaison to the college and we represent the collective voice of Osteopathic EM residents. Over the last few years, participation
in the resident chapter activities has been outstanding! I assure you that we will continue to provide exciting and unique experiences to our residents throughout
the year.
In order to accomplish one of our major goals in promoting resident participation in the college, we now have resident members assigned as full fledged committee
members to a number of ACOEP committees. This increases our ability to actively participate in the business of the college and provides additional avenues for
resident participation and mentoring in areas of interest. Currently there are members appointed to the Government Affairs, Undergraduate Medical Education, EMS,
and Research Committees. If you would like to become more involved with the college as a committee representative, please contact me. A full list of current
committees can be found here: ACOEP Committees
This is your college. It is only as good as you make it. Let us work for you! Contact us with problems, suggestions or questions. We are happy to listen and
advocate for your concerns.
I look forward to meeting many of you at both our Spring Meeting in Scottsdale and the Scientific Seminar in Las Vegas!
Respectfully,
Justin Arnold, DO, MPH
ACOEP Resident Chapter President
